Classical Temple

The Classical Temple offers professional violin (beginners - advanced), piano (beginners - intermediate) and music theory tuition to young, aspiring musicians (children welcome) in and around Melbourne’s west. The school follows a structured, progressive approach aimed at developing the musical and technical foundations of beginner and intermediate students, and nurturing those with more advanced skills. We especially aim to inspire curiosity, love and appreciation of classical music in a fun and motivating home studio environment. Our teaching covers a diverse AMEB repertoire aimed at showing the different stages of progress, and preparing students for AMEB grade examinations. Notation and music theory are covered from the very start, and we recommend delving deeper into the theoretical foundations for those who are interested.

The Classical Temple was founded in 2018 by Vessela Evrova-Wassenaar, a Melbourne Conservatorium (University of Melbourne) and Sydney Conservatorium of Music graduate, a classical violinist and experienced violin and piano teacher. She has over three decades of performance experience and knowledge of classical music, and over five years of teaching young musicians including children. All of her students have received the highest grades at AMEB practical examinations (Honours, High Distinction) and most continue to practice music long term. Vessela is also a qualified legal adviser and former journalist and policy adviser.
