Sponsorship opportunities are now open for our upcoming Hobsons Bay Business Breakfast in September, bringing together local businesses for a morning of networking, insight and connection.
This event provides sponsors with the opportunity to engage directly with Hobsons Bay’s business community and gain visibility before, during and after the event.

International Women’s Day Business Luncheon 2026
Delivered in partnership with Maribyrnong City Council, the International Women’s Day Business Luncheon 2026 celebrated women in business, leadership and the broader community. The event featured keynote speaker Monique Milenkovic, founder of The Cupcake Queens, and provided practical insights for small business owners and professionals.
Event outcomes:
- Attended by approximately 190 local business owners, professionals and community leaders
- Strong engagement from small businesses across Hobsons Bay and Maribyrnong
- High visibility through Council‑led promotion and on‑the‑day branding
Sponsorship categories for this event included:
- Principal Sponsor – exclusive lead sponsorship with prominent recognition before and during the event, including a speaking or video acknowledgement
- Sweet Treat Sponsor – sponsorship of a gelati or cannoli cart, providing high‑visibility branding during a key social moment
- Supporting Sponsor – brand recognition during the luncheon, including on‑screen logo placement and verbal acknowledgements
This event provided sponsors with meaningful exposure while supporting gender equity, inclusive leadership and Council‑led business engagement.
Hobsons Bay Business Excellence Awards 2025
The Hobsons Bay Business Excellence Awards 2025 were a major celebration of local business success, recognising outstanding achievements across innovation, sustainability, customer experience and community impact. Hosted by Hobsons Bay City Council, the awards are delivered every two years and are a highlight of the local business calendar.
Event outcomes:
- Attended by approximately 330 attendees, including finalists, winners, sponsors and community stakeholders
- 6 award categories recognising a diverse range of local businesses
- Strong reach through Council communications before and after the event
