Love:Local - Celebrating our longstanding businesses

For over 150 years, local businesses have helped shape Hobsons Bay - our streetscapes, our economy and, most importantly, our sense of community. From family-run shops that have served generations to cafés and trades that keep our neighbourhoods thriving, these businesses are part of our city’s story. Their shopfronts and businesses reflect change, resilience and connection, and are as much a part of Hobsons Bay as our beaches and coastline.

Some have become true institutions - places where locals gather, milestones are celebrated, and friendly faces bring our city to life. These businesses remind us what it means to belong.

Every business has a story - one of ambition, creativity and community spirit. As part of Love:Local, we celebrate the businesses that call Hobsons Bay home and invite you to discover (and share) their stories.
