Pathways to Work Overview

Helping people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities find their way into work has been a top priority for Council.  As part of the 2024 Mayoral Program, Council hosted the Pathways to Work Expo which saw people needing a little extra help get started on their career journey.

Thanks to partners Western Bulldogs Community Foundation and the support provided by Workforce Australia, 75 exhibitors descended on Grazeland to offer advice and mentorship, provide resume support, and promote opportunities available in the West.  The event was attended by over 800 people with school students from 7 local schools, general attendees exploring pathways to work and exhibitor staff.
