Western Alliance for Greenhouse Action (WAGA)
The Western Alliance for Greenhouse Action (WAGA) is undertaking a program to help businesses across Hobsons Bay save costs and energy, switch to renewable electricity and become resilient to climate change.
The aims of the program are:
- A transition to 100% renewable energy and zero carbon in Hobsons Bay
- Productive and profitable business communities
- Strong supportive relationships between Council and local businesses
As part of the program, WAGA is promoting councils’ own sustainable business initiatives and Victorian Government offers.

Business mentoring for retailers and installers
Get free and independent mentoring and support to help you set your business up for success.
This initiative is funded by Solar Victoria and delivered by Monarch Institute.
Through this initiative, industry participants in the Solar Homes Program can get tailored one-on-one business mentoring and support from mentors with Monarch Institute to help make informed decisions about the future of their business.
Working with an independent business mentor can help you identify the key priorities your business needs to grow and succeed in the solar industry, address gaps in skill and knowledge, and increase your confidence in running a successful and sustainable business.
Importantly, these sessions will give you practical takeaways and tips you can use.
If you are eligible, you will get two 45-minute confidential one-on-one mentoring sessions with a mentor of your choice.
