Council has proudly partnered with state government’s Working for Victoria program. The Working for Victoria program was recently established by state government as part of the $1.7 billion Economic Survival package, in response to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Hobsons Bay Working for Victoria program, will offer people who have lost their jobs or have been significantly impacted by the Coronavirus, opportunities to re-enter the workforce, gain experience in local government and improve their overall wellbeing.

Council has received $5.9million funding from state government which will go towards creating more than 130 local jobs.

Our Working for Victoria staff will work on Council core projects with the key areas of focus being: environments and biodiversity, local footpaths and infrastructure, local business support and liaison, communications and engagement, digital and business transformation and community services.

The Hobsons Bay Working for Victoria program is recruiting now on the Sidekicker platform. For more information and to register for Working for Victoria jobs, visit www.vic.gov.au/workingforvictoria
